First Meeting (2 JP)

Task 1:

1. Do you have any questions about the text in the slide show?
2. Who wants to ask something relating to the text? Think the usage of action verbs in the procedural/instructional text!

By following the basic steps, you will be able to quickly check that your oven is operating correctly. Please pay attention to the guidance on where to install your oven. When unpacking your oven, make sure you remove all accessories and packing. Check to make sure that your oven has not been damaged during delivery.

Task 6:

1.      Listen to the procedural/instructional audio about “HOW TO MAKE CHEESE TOAST” and read carefully the text!

2.      Answer these questions based on the audio!

Script:

HOW TO MAKE CHEESE TOAST Ingredients: - 2 slices of bread - A slice of cheese Material: - An oven toaster - A plate - A knife 1. First, switch on an oven toaster and heat it for 1 minute. 2. Second, take 2 slices of bread and place a slice of cheese between the slices of bread. 3. Third, place the slices in the oven for 5 minutes. 4. After 5 minutes check it. If the bread is slightly golden brown, take it out carefully. 5. Cut the cheese toast. 6. Put the cheese toast on a plate. 7. Your cheese toast is ready to be served Tips: - Make sure you wear oven mitts. - Be careful when you take the cheese toast out. - Let the cheese toast cool before eating. The cheese can burn your tongue.

Task 7:

1.      Compare the action verbs that you have found in the text and audio with the one which you have found in internet or other resources!

2.      Compare the action verbs above with the Indonesian’s one!
